João has built an impressive career in embryology and is a true specialist in the field of ICSI. He graduated in 2013 from Northern Rio de Janeiro State University and, in 2014, joined the Equine Embryo Laboratory at Texas A&M University. There, he further specialised in embryology and ICSI, becoming an expert in the field. During this time, João established valuable connections with leading researchers, universities, and companies around the world—collaborations that still result in scientific publications and innovative advancements in equine reproductive medicine.
With his knowledge and experience, João founded a successful ICSI facility in Texas, where he remains co-owner. In 2021, he moved to the Netherlands to join Equiception. As co-director and lab manager, he plays a key role in the growth and innovation of the laboratory.
In addition to his work at Equiception, João is currently pursuing a PhD at Ghent University in Belgium, where he conducts further research into advanced reproductive techniques. With his scientific background and years of hands-on experience, he contributes significantly to the ongoing development and improvement of reproductive technologies in the equine industry.
