Patrick founded Equiception in 2016 with the goal of advancing reproductive techniques and delivering innovative services within the equine industry. He graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Sydney in 2004. After completing his studies, he gained extensive hands-on experience in the Hunter Valley—Australia’s equine heartland—working with some of the world’s top breeding and sport horses. He also held academic positions at Murdoch University in Perth and Utrecht University, where he further deepened his expertise.
With this broad background and specialised knowledge, Patrick founded Equiception, driven by his passion for innovation, horse welfare, and achieving the best possible outcomes. As co-director, he plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategy and ongoing development. He also heads the clinic and leads the OPU team, focusing on optimizing advanced reproductive techniques and delivering top-level care and results for both donor and recipient mares.
Patrick is also personally active in breeding, using his passion and expertise to breed high-quality horses.
