Equiception – internationally recognized fertility centre for horses

Since its establishment in 2016, Equiception has developed into a leading centre for advanced equine reproductive technologies. Our activities include OPU and ICSI procedures, embryo transfer (ET), and specialized fertility treatments.
Located in Putten, the Netherlands, in the heart of the European warmblood breeding region, Equiception combines high-quality clinical care with innovative technologies and a strong international network of breeders and sport horse stables.

Equiception is part of the Equine Care Group (ECG). Within this group, Equiception functions as a specialized fertility and reproduction centre for horses, contributing to the continued strengthening of ECG as a leading veterinary group.


Your role

In this position, you will be responsible for independently performing and supervising advanced reproductive procedures, including:

  • Cycle management of mares for breeding with chilled and frozen semen
  • Performing embryo flushing and embryo transfer
  • Warming, assessing, and handling ICSI embryos
  • Monitoring, synchronizing, and managing recipient mares

 

Your profile

  • Licensed veterinarian, eligible for registration in the Netherlands (BIG registration)
  • Proven experience in equine reproduction
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions
  • Affinity with advanced reproductive techniques and laboratory work
  • Good command of English is required; Dutch language skills are an advantage
